“BLOOD OF THE LOST passed my final installment must-have checklist with flying colors; all of this series’ characters were in attendance (both living & deceased), no stone was left unturned with regards to pending questions, and the do-or-die battle was glorious. Heck, I even liked how the love triangle was settled. The plotting was so clean it squeaked!” –Rabid Reads

From HiJinks Ink Publishing and Shannon Mayer comes BLOOD OF THE LOST (BOOK 10), the EPIC conclusion to The USA Today Bestselling RYLEE ADAMSON NOVELS. With over 1.5 million books sold, Shannon Mayer proves once again she can dominate her genre right out of the gate.

"My name is Rylee and I am a Tracker."

When children go missing, and the Humans have no leads, I'm the one they call. I am their last hope in bringing home the lost ones. I salvage what they cannot.

My final salvage, and this time I must rescue the entire world.

Orion has fooled the entire human population with his lies, and they follow him like mindless zombies. They are the lost ones now.

I have my allies and my loved ones with me, but while they will fight to their death, it is still not enough. I must seal the Veil closed and send the demons back forever.

There is only one thing left for me to do. Face Orion alone.

But Orion knows my weakness. And he has stolen her away leaving me with a choice no mother should ever face.

Save my daughter . . . or . . . save the world?

Blood of the Lost A Rylee Adamson Novel Book 10 edition by Shannon Mayer Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks

As much as it broke my heart, this was truly a fitting and proper ending for Rylee. I cried and sobbed and wanted to throw my Kindle against the wall, but that's the effectiveness of Shannon's writing; I even told her the night I finished the book, if these had been my characters and story, I'd have done things the same - heartbreaking as it is, because no matter what, as a writer, you have to stay true to your characters. Shannon has always done that, and she's done it til the end with Rylee and her band of misfits. She will always have my respect for that alone.

The only thing that took away for me, and not by much, is I felt there were a lot of POV changes. Sometimes it felt unnecessary - I wanted to stay with Rylee, it's always been her story - but at the same time, some of those POV changes really plunged the dagger deeper into my heart and started up the waterworks, even if they were only a couple sentences. They were effective, no doubt. So I suppose I'm more undecided on how I truly feel about all the POV chapters.
Things do end on a bit of an open door for Rylee, and what her options are going forward. For certain though she's got her hands full!

There was an alternate ending Mayer made available to her newsletter subscribers.... let's just say it did not fit the story or the characters at all. Well, I suppose in its own way it did fit Rylee, but it didn't work for the overall story, and the many threads of the story that were still left to be tied off at that point of the story. So I'm grateful for the chance to have seen what else was kicking around in SM's mind, I'm glad she realized all the reasons why it just wouldn't work for the finished product.

Blood of the Lost A Rylee Adamson Novel Book 10 edition by Shannon Mayer Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews

If emotions were colors, this book would be a rainbow. A rollercoaster of events from beginning to end. There are all kinds of euphemisms to describe Blood of the Lost, but none of them will ever do justice to the awesome and amazing end of The Rylee Adamson series.

Yes, it's sad to see a series that has captured the hearts and imaginations of SO many come to an end.. We've seen Rylee, Alex, Liam and Milly go through everything possible, and be better for it. We've seen new life and deaths of some of the best. We laughed and cried with Rylee and her family, pack, entourage, whatever you want to call her gang of misfits that conquer the evil in the world when no one else could.

In this EPIC final battle of good vs evil, we'll go through all the laughter, tears, fears and action of the past 9 books and 5 (?) novellas, all in one book. Like someone said in one of the Rylee Adamson books, If it's not ok, it's not the end. I wholeheartedly believe that to be true.

Enjoy reading The Blood Of The Lost. It'll leave you in stitches....in a way, but not necessarily the way you think.
I have no idea where to even start...I can still remember borrowing Priceless in 2014 and devouring it all and immediately search for any books that followed. I purchased everything that was out at the time and read them too then stalked for the newest release faithfully. I preordered every book after that and this one was no different.

Blood of the Lost is bittersweet for me and I cried more than once while finishing this journey. Did everything happen the way I wanted it to? Absolutely not, but I enjoyed the hell out of the ride. The battle was well fought and Rylee and the gang had to work for it every step of the way...we get a few shock and awe moments and I for one am sad to see the series end. Although I have a feeling this isn't the last we will see of Rylee and the gang. For how I'll have to curb my sorrow by waiting on the next Elemental book with Lark.

Must read if you're a fan of Ms. Mayer and the rest of the Rylee series. I will def be reading this series over and over for many times to come. BRAVO Ms. Mayer.
I knew that things were going to blow up in this book. I knew that I would likely need tissues handy and that I would need to be able to sit down and finish it because I wouldn’t be able to sleep otherwise. I was right on all of it. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. There are some great surprises in this book, some heartbreaking moments (I’m talking ugly sobbing here folks) and there are some really touching moments too. Shannon Mayer brought it all when she wrote this book.

I am so glad I gave this series a shot. It’s one of the best urban fantasy series I’ve ever read and I’ve read a lot of them. The characters are all engaging; the action is fierce and constant. I got attached to every character, even the ones that I wasn’t really crazy about like Milly and Faris.

This was an absolutely satisfying ending to this series. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves urban fantasy.
I really loved this series until about book until book 9 and then it all went off in a direction that I just didn't like. Book 10 wrapped things up and to give the author credit she didn't leave any stings hanging. There were some emotional moments and we lost some beloved characters along the way. The love triangle (which I thought was the worst part of this series and was never believable) wrapped up. There were epic battles (a few too many details IMO) and loads of action. The biggest problem was the new characters and numerous POV changes. The flow of this book just didn't work for me. Books 1-8 were 4 star reads for me but the last two just kind of fizzled.
